Most of June was cleaning up the house and unpacking.

I am about to put a plug in for balance bikes.
I love them so much. Aiden has been cruising around on one for about 1 year. For Christmas he got a bike with pedals. But due to the rain it lived indoors in Seattle. On June 18th we were working on the garage and Aiden yells "Mom dad I used the pedals." Just like that he was riding his bike. No training wheels, no running behind holding the seat, nothing. He was riding so fast so quickly.

Here is a video of Aiden riding. Yes it's sideways. I always forget on my cell that even though the picture rotates it is shooting the video sideways. Argh!
Aiden says "Don't crash, don't crash into the sidewalk." Then I think he says "That's how you go backwards"
He has now mastered his brakes too. Thank goodness for his feet and shoes.

nola is adorable!!
i had a friend who had a balance bike... but she never told me much about it. seems like a great idea. i should get one for quinn because she is quite a wuss. she might be happy never riding a bike :)
