To the Apple Lady

Well that's assuming it's a lady.
How did you know?
That for 3 days Aiden would only eat apples.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
How did you know?
That Monday I went to the grocery store
and only bought 6 apples.
Not knowing what was to come.
How did you know?
That he ate the last one for lunch.
And woke up asking for more.
How did you know?
That leaving a bag of beautiful, gigantic red apples
on my doorstep was superb timing.
I guess it doesn't matter how you knew.
Just that you did.
