Traveling Tips

Thought I'd share the things that worked for us and helped us survive 1500 miles with no crying. Can you believe it? I am sitting here wondering if there was a moment of mayhem I just can't remember. But I don't think so.

(It's blurry I know but it's the only picture of our drive)
#1 If possible sit next to your baby. So I sat between Nola and Liam and put Aiden in the back seat. I was able to easily hand out toys and snacks and hold in a binky. Nola did even cry. Being next to her kept her happy. If this is not possible try getting one of these .

#2 Jelly Roll pans.

This one is genius. Have a jelly roll pan for each kid. (A pan with a lip around the edge). Your kids can have snacks without them falling to the floor or in the carseat (saves on cleanup when you get home.) (Liam was able to eat chips and guacamole) They can color and keep crayons from disappearing, drive cars back and forth. The possibilities are endless.

#3 Prizes
Go to target or the Dollar Store and get prizes. I had a bag of prizes that they got 1 every hour or two. I would just remind them if you're good you can have a prize. Glow in the dark bracelets were a HUGE hit. Cars, playdoh, new crayons, new movie, coloring books, balloons, books, stickers etc. Get what your kids like. My sister said she even wraps the prizes, which I will try next time.

It couldn't have gone better. I hope you if you have a drive coming up one of these works for you.
