On Jan 2 we decided to go check out Orange County Zoo. It's cheap $2 a person and a buy one get one free coupon on their website. So $4 for our family of 5. It is tiny. Takes about 45 minutes to walk the whole zoo. But it was perfect. We loved it.

The zoo is located in 477 acre park. It is so lovely. It has a couple of great playgrounds, a pond you can rent paddle boats on, bikes for rent etc.
I couldn't believe how this peacock walked right up to us.
After the zoo we road the Irvine Park Railroad. Pictures to follow.
