Jan 2012 Nola's Birthday

Nola turned 1 in January.

I turned these owls into Christmas ornaments so we can remember her first cake.

The birthday girl.

I think she likes it.

I also think she realizes it's something good.

Perfect choice of cake flavor because she was hardly messy at all.

On to the presents.

Our awesome friends got her this toy.

And she was TERRIFIED! Still is.  Even if it's in a different room.

On a side note, Nola is starting to love eggs

So much that she hugs them.

Also in January.  The boys got bunk beds and are now sharing a room. It's going pretty well.  

We just have to stagger bedtime.

Also in January.  Tyson ruptured a disk in his back.  No fun, lots of pain.

The day the disk ruptured we took Tyson to the Doctor and came home with the FLU!  The kind of flu that knocks you off your feet for 3 weeks.

We had super amazing friends who still took our kids everyday while we went to the Doctor EVERYDAY for a whole week.  Our ward brought us dinner for a week too.  It was so amazing.  Tyson had to take 2 weeks off of work.  He got an epidural shot in his back and is now on the road to recovery.  He has PT 3 times a week for 4 weeks.  He may need another epidural shot down the road but it looks as if surgery will no longer be needed.
 I give credit to the Lord and his healing powers.
