In August Gami had a layover and took us to dinner!
On a last minute decision we decide to head up to San Jose to visit my brother Derek and Family.
Thanks for having us.
We took a day adventure to the Oakland Temple.
Seriously the most Beautiful Temple I have seen.
Went across the bridge into San Fransisco to do some shopping.
Liam had been talking about the Golden Gate Bridge ALL DAY.
He was super excited to see it. And then 5 minutes before we got there I look back and see this.
We decide we had to at least wake up Liam. Which was super hard to do. But he was super excited to see this. Then he wanted to go into Fort Point. So we decided to wake up Aiden. Aiden was also hard to wake up. But he woke up ticked. Liam was pointing and saying Golden Gate Bridge to Aiden who then grabbed Liam's pointing finger and bent it backwards. Awesome.
He perked up a little in the fort.
Then we got up top.
And it was super windy. Aiden HATES wind. Always has, probably always will.
So the crying and screaming started up again.
Yep I felt how I looked.
But the view was awesome.
And then we get back in the stairwell. Confession I am terrified of heights. And sometimes it pops up at the most inconvenient times. Like when on the stairs with 2 toddlers and no handrail and it's not wide enough to walk holding both kids hands at the same time and you feel like you are going to pass out and tumble down the stairs and your husband wants to stop and take a picture before retrieving a toddler. (In all fairness to Tyson I said very little, something like "Please get a kid". He was unaware of how terrified I was.)
Taken during stairs incident. But I love the picture so maybe it was worth it?
We spent some time running around in the fort wind free.
Headed to citizen cake to get some treats. Good treats TERRIBLE customer service. I was standing at the counter for 10 minutes the Employee right in front of me, not helping anyone, before he acknowledged me.
On a side note. Nola naps twice daily and unplanned we happened to be driving at perfect times for Nola to catch some short naps. So she was happy all day. From 10am to 8pm. Awesome day and trip. My Sister in Law posted pictures when we were there too. How did I not take any with her or her kids?
Oh and I turned 29 on the trip. Happy Birthday.
